A very stylish little piece... I like it. I guess some people can't handle not having a plot, but it's well done... How many pictures were involved? and have you considered the posibility of doing one where you end up where yous tarted, so it loops? Just an idea...
Anyway... well done...
Let's see, the whole video is set at a rate of 5 fps, and there are a total of 407 frames, which meant 406 separate photos I had to resize and adjust before porting it to Flash. It was a long, relatively complicated process, but the end results are very pleasing. If I were to raise it up to the standard frame rate, of about 12 fps, the whole video would have lasted only 40.6 seconds, versus the current 81.2 seconds. The 81.2 seconds was chosen because of the way it fit the music smoothly enough, and the speed at which the frames flowed. It turned out pretty good, if you ask me. =) I'm in the process of creating another stop-motion frame-by-frame, photography-by-photograph, which will be about two minutes or more in length. I just have a few scenes left to shoot and then I can begin the editing process. Keep your eyes open for that, or come back to check my user profile page to see if it has been added. It will be called "Will You Follow Me?" and will feature music by the same title. =)
Very well done, sir
I must say, this is a MASSIVE improvement in your animation skills as opposed to some of the other ones that i've seen from you. Great work on that front.
My main criticisim, of course, would be the vocals. the volume of some of the voices was nearly impossible to hear at times, and there's the "ffft" sound from people accidentally blowing into the mic.
My advice is to just keep working on the sound, and then she'll be sweet.
cheers for the laugh, mate.
It's been done...
This movie has been done many many times (and oftem much better) by many other people. In faact, much of it looked very similar to another particular one which I remember... Hmmm...
Aww... bunny so cute... AARGH MY FACE!!
Yep.. it's great.. kinda like madnes... except with bunnies... and light sabers... odd, that... Great work, though... And what's with all those doors jamming at critical moments? heh heh heh.
Ok, I did enjoy this. Can't wait for the next chapter, but you can probably understand when I say that the story line wasn't terribly original. You can probably do better... I dunno... you're the artist and I'm just a pleb.
Good work. keep it up.
damned odd... but great...
This looks like what I would imagine the dream of a down syndrome child to be like if he had a sheet of acid and climbed into a washing machine. good work.
on a more constructive side, I think you need to boost the voices just a little.
heh it was great
and where did i find the link to this? surprise surprise, from the official dead milkmen page... but i guess taht you already know that, don't you...
it was a great hommage to the song, and the band.
OMFG! Mario! without sprites!
I liked it mainly for that fact. I am entirely sick of sprite movies and bad tweening. it was amusing (albeit short)... keep it up.
Nothing terribly new there
It's just the same kind of thing that's been done by too many people for too long. The graphics were ok, but you lose points for stick men. although you DO gain a fair few points in sound for Misfits. You're animation makes it look like you could do alot better than this. try something else.
Eye Spy something that looks like...
This looks like a cross between "I Love Egg", "Madness", and paintball skirmish. Apart from just watching people kill each other alot (or paint each other blue) there isn't really much to it. The story line is unclear if existant, the blood is blue (although they DO look like eggs, so i might just let that one pass), and there are a few other things which i won't bother listing.
I'm not saying tha this is bad flash, just it needs more work, and planning.
3.5 MB download?
Wasn't there something on the front page just recently about sound optimisation? I'm sorry to say that this was a fairly poor effort at an over-done genre. If it's not stick men fighting each other, it's stickmen trying to survive while going through some massive obstical course.
What you did wasn't TOO bad (I've seen worse), but it's not that great, either. You made a coment to someone else about going to school being a reason for the lower quality entry? The want for a quality entry should prevail over the want for something to submit. sadly alot of people miss that point. I know of people who have spent years working on cartons, and keep revising sections over and over, making them better or smoother, and still don't feel like submiting. That's taking it to the other extreme, but you should think about spending extra time on making it good, or great rather than just submiting any old crap.
Meh.. I know that that's a bit hipocritical, seeing as I've done it many times too, but still.
I see potential in your work, but potential doesn't make a great animation... it makes 'what could be a great animation if...'.
I'ma stop talking now, but think about re-working things before you submit. And the sound optimisation, too...
